Hillsboro Village (37212)

Hillsboro Village is best known as a popular walkable commercial district sandwiched between Belmont University and Vanderbilt University. Only a handful of blocks total, it is jam packed with local restaurants, trendy boutiques, local book and cooking shops, and a local theater. It is home to favorites such as Pancake Pantry, a micro-brewery and restaurant called Boscos, and hip coffee shop Fido. There are also service oriented businesses such as a dry cleaner, a gas station, a post office, and a shoe repair shop. If you're a coffee or tea drinker, stop by Davis Cookware and let Mr. Ted Davis or one of his sons help you pick out the best coffee beans you'll ever buy.

The homes surrounding Hillsboro Village are located in either the Hillsboro-West End or Belmont-Hillsboro neighborhoods. These highly-desired neighborhoods have a collection of early 20th century homes including Bungalows, Foursquares, Cape Cods, Colonial Revivals, and Tudor Revivals built between 1920 and 1940. These neighborhoods feature long sidewalks perfect for pedestrian traffic and easy access to Fannie Mae Dees Park (also known locally as Dragon Park), the Belmont University and Vanderbilt University, and the commercial district.  Another nice convenience is a Harris Teeter located nearby at the intersection of Blair Blvd. and 21st Ave. S.
