West End (37205)

The part of Nashville known as West End encompasses a handful of mini-neighborhoods including Richland-West End, Cherokee Park, Whitland, and Bowling/Woodlawn. These neighborhoods sit west of Downtown and I-440. Lined with grassy street medians and artfully landscaped yards, these early 20th century neighborhoods are dominated by Bungalows and Foursquare homes. There are also Federal, Cottage, Georgian, Cape Cods and Tudor Revival homes sprinkled throughout the area.

These cohesive neighborhoods are known for their active associations that put on various events throughout the year.  Whitland is knows for it’s famous Fourth of July block party and Richland-West End is the city’s most popular trick-or-treating spot.  When it’s not a holiday, neighbors can be found walking down the ever-popular sidewalks with dogs or children, riding a bicycle along the Richland Creek Greenway or spending time at Elmington Park during warm weather months.
